Produced by one of the Made in the last mosquito net factories in Japan , this Japanese paper towel or " Kaya kiji fukin " includes high-quality " Binchotan " charcoal. particularly valued for its purifying properties.

The antimicrobial and odor-neutralizing properties of Kishu Binchotan charcoal are achieved through a traditional kiln-drying process. This high-quality charcoal is made from sustainably sourced Japanese holm oak branches from the hills of the Kii Peninsula, which are dried for several weeks.

The story goes that these little paper towels They came into being when female workers began making them for their own use. using leftover fabric scraps from the cutting process. They then embroidered various things onto them, reminding them of their favorite everyday objects.
