Quantity to use: approximately 10 grams for 240ml of water (can be used 3 times)

Water temperature: 100℃ (boiling water)

Infusion time: 30 sec.

The origins of Ippodo date back three centuries, to 1717, when Rihei Watanabe founded his first shop called Omiya, near the Imperial Palace of Kyoto, specializing in the sale of tea and ceramics. In 1846, the shop was renamed Ippodo, which literally means "to preserve a tradition."

This name was given by Prince Yamashina, a great admirer of Ippodo tea, who wished for the shop to perpetuate one and the same tradition: offering high-quality tea. Since then, Ippodo has managed to adapt to changing times while remaining faithful to its commitment to excellence in Japanese tea.
