In this context of uncertainty, the Pallarès company was founded by the brothers Lluís and Carles Pallarès Canal (Lluís' uncle was already a cutler), which would soon be characterized by well-tempered steel and good sharpening of its knives, and who sold throughout the Solsonès region and the provinces of Barcelona and Girona.
In the 1960s, the company passed to brothers Jesús and Juli Pallarès Moncunill, sons of Lluís. With these begins the modernization of the company and the expansion of its market towards the rest of Catalonia and Spain. In the mid-1980s there were only two cutlery workshops left in Solsona and in the early 1990s only one: Coutellerie Pallarès. At the beginning of this century, the third generation of the company arrived. It continues modernization and adaptation to new technologies and expands the market to France, Switzerland, Germany and several countries in South America.
Throughout its career, Coutellerie Pallarès has had, and still has, care for the materials used, always looking for the highest quality , and it has had, and still has, as its main objective the quality of the cutting, this is why all the knives are sharpened by hand . Despite all the difficulties, Pallarès, with constant effort and work, has been able to adapt to changing times, without sacrificing its origins rooted in the tradition of artisanal cutlery in the town of Solsona.
It is therefore only natural that we offer Pallarès knives on Utile & Ordinaire , quality and simplicity being a priority for us.
